This invention is a guided tap.The portion of the tap without grooves or other formations located at the tip of the tap (providing the length of the inserting portion of the workpiece that is not to be threaded) is the guide portion.The tap is characterized by the design that the presence of such a guide makes it easy to match the center axis of the tap with the center axis of the workpiece at the start of threading (consistency of both axes) by using the adhesiveness between the workpiece and the tap, which is to easen ensuring consistency of both axes.The guide section also makes it possible to set the threading start position at the mid-length of the tap drill, thereby improving the dual-axis congruency.
