A Long-Sleeved Kimono

As we have kept up with turbulent social condition in the 21st century, we would like to introduce our new work which we have made a great study on.

A long-sleeved kimono (worn by unmarried women on ceremonial occasions) is especially important for the youths in their adolescence to celebrate their first steps to their new life as adult. We have started producing a new kimono from the stage of making a white back ground of it. We have done the processes without being captured too much in good-old customs or habits.

First, as we have attached great importance to silk fabric which is a basic material of kimono, we weaved up a design on horizontal lines and vertical lines of kimono, using one of the best silk made in Japan. The original patterns of silk fabric of the kimono appear as reflecting light and shadow. When we dyed the kimono, the original patterns and the artificially designed parts happened to harmonize each other, which made the kimono more mysterious, dignified, and stylish in its quality.

A Japanese long inherited style of weaving from our ancestors is quite unique to the other countries, and that's the essence of Japanese clothing. With a strong respect toward the achievement of our ancestors, we have made another colored silk fabric to be woven on the kimono as we carefully weigh the balance of the entire color. Then, we happened to discover that the design made of one of the best silk fabric with color, swings smoothly and gently following the movements of body, and the color lines create glossy but modest elegance. All of those is a great discovery, and we are sure that the beauty of design and material of the kimono, and how those appears when you walk in it, will fascinate and satisfy many users.
